Incantation
The Forsaken Mourning of Angelic Anguish (Relapse) 35:34
1997 CD [BUY] $10
Review: Roaring to life in the total nihilism of pure rage, this music makes concrete thunder from abstract comparisons of structure, creating a style which addresses both body and mind at once. Its science is the independent motion of similar structures in dissimilar appearances, and it is an evil threat to established powers of "essential" value. Re-recorded versions of songs from previous albums here reach an apex with this powerful lineup and bass-heavy sound with four new versions of classics as bonus track. An album pretending to be an EP, this is a generous introduction to the music of a ground-breaking New York Death Metal band.

Production: Rough but representative, bassy.
