Motorhead
Live, Loud, and Lewd (big ear music) 46:50
1999 CD [BUY] $6
Review: Motorhead brought a progressive blues-punk sound to the metal genre with rowdy music more suited to a roadhouse than concert hall, crafting a poetry of the instructive but lonely road in an unlistenable combination of distortion and growl. With the original lineup that burst this band onto the scene, this live recording reproduces the aspect of organic sound and energy that distinguishes the band to this day, and finds itself a compendium of the most of the songs from the first album and two classic tracks, "Iron Fist" and "Overkill" recorded at a later date. Spectacular guitarwork from Fast Eddie Clarke and a vintage Lemmy performance distinguish this piece of history.

Production: Live recording with decent equipment from the day.
